Hi all, I just install a Fumoto valve. Had one on my GSXR750 and I liked it. Also drilled it for safety wire.

In most cases I would say this is unnecessary. However, seeing as Honda's(cars and bikes alike) tend to have issues with the threads in their aluminum oil pans, I'd say its a pretty good idea. I'm always afraid to over tighten the drain plug on my bike as I see numerous Honda cars come into the shop with stripped out drain plugs.

Thats the main reason I did it. I've seen way to many post about stripped out drain holes. The valve was $26. total. Off Ebay.

Looks like the end of the plug sticks up past flush to the inside of the oil pan.

How much oil gets left in the bottom of the pan? What vendor did you buy from?
