    Tink,
I love the way this project is turning out. I Really like the 5th gen front end, while I'm not a fan of the 6th Gen fairing, I do like the 6th gen tucked up dual exhaust. Can't wait to see it with a shiny new coat of paint on it. I'm also really enjoining the engineering work. Well done Sir.

I'm sure I'll miss the 3g. That thing runs like a top. Just got my 3rd gen Corbin professionally recovered and it looks good as new!

The local seat guy gave me a ball park figure of $350 to completely customize the 5th gen seat. If I don't get that done before the road trip I'll REALLY be missing the 3rd gen.

Does that mean you'll be getting rid of it, or just relegated to dust collector in the garage???

I have all but made up my mind that the 3rd gen is for sale. Would like the space in the garage and the money wouldn't hurt anything either.

It seems the wife wouldn't mind if I kept it. She likes it and keeps talking about getting her license. I kind of think it's a bit big and heavy for a light little girl starting out.

    who knows.....

And if I might ask, what kind of price for the 3g?

That is a very fair price. Should have no problem selling it for that.

I wouldn't go any lower than that. With all the work you've done it's worth that easy. You know you could get another mounting rack and use the givi stuff, right? You might have to tweak a little with your tail mod, but.. You know, I think my mounts are actually for a 6 g but I have been using them on my 5g... Remind me when you come out and we'll see if they fit. If so, I'd trade for the 5g mounts so my luggage rides right.

    Finance?

    ok, I'll take $2,295.

On the project; All the metal is ready for powder with the exception of the swingarm. I did not have the 46mm socket to get the spindle nut off. But the pivot bearings are removed (sucked ass).
