    Hello All,

I havent posted in quite a while, been busy with school and working. I am proud to announce that I have paid off my VFR! I got it in August of 2007 and now its officially MINE! (well at least whenever I get the title in the mail)

Now I can dedicate a little more cash to upgrades

    - new tires
    - power commander
    - replacement windscreen

Even though its cold outside still here in WA state, I still manage to keep her warm and dry

that bike should be scared. it's not a good sign to enter a room where the floor is covered in plastic.

usually means a body is about to be disposed of.

chickunfut: it serves as a great piece of art for the winter :p My girlfriend shrugged and laughed when she first saw it.

TinkerinWstuff: This apartment has new off white carpet, I wanted to make sure that I didn't ruin anything when I brought it inside. The plastic is to keep any splinters or dirt out of the carpet. My vfr is polite and doesn't mark its spot.

although this plastic is really thick, could be used to wrap a body....

Congrats on paying her off! My VFR lives in my bedroom, growing up my old man had his bikes parked in the dining room so I guess it was never a question. Hey, just thought of another area where bikes are better than cars.

Isn't that a great feeling? I bet most people turn their bike over before it's actually paid for? Congratulations.

Congrats on the payoff. Must really feel good to free up that monthly.
Bike sure look nice and comfy. Also got the outlet right there for the
Batt. Tender. Nice to be able to see/feel the ride with your morning
coffee. Nice and safe! Enjoy the thrill of the Mods to come. :)

I used to have one in my bedroom but took it out and now its in the garage. If you stuck your nose up to the gas cap - you could smell the fruity VP fuel. So, me thought about it for a while and determined its not the best thing to spend 8 hours with in an enclosed room, (totally dark, no air circulation) plus some of those famous racers died from lung cancer and never even lit up a cancer stick (Paul Newman, Steve McQueen.) Just some food fer ThoUgHt...

It is a really good feeling to pay it off. To those who have paid off their vfr's, how long did it take to get the title?

ridevfr: I had it inside for 6 months with a half a tank of gas (and some stabil). It never smelled like gas in my apartment.

Yeh congratulations on your "pay-off." Every single bike I have bought, I paid cash for, so I never had the joy of making payments, I have known ooddles-of-friends that have been on that boat, its tough, recreational vehicle and something that depreciates faster than a brick.

My Viffer is a stinker, even after a complete carburetor ova-haul. When I park that bike in the garage you know immediately that it was ridden cause of the smell. Kawasaki has less of a smell, but its still there after a spirited ride  I had a ysr 50 parked in the bedroom for years (bike looks like a miniature ducati) that bike had a stink eminating out of the gas cap, (stored it with 100 octane VP fuel) never had a problem with it. Anywhooo...have fun tuning the bikie...Cheers

It does feel good to own one out right as they say. It makes it very hard to consider getting a new bike if it means having payments again. When you own you can upgrade or not as the cash flow warrants. Try that with payments!

    Congrats...

In NY, once you register the bike, new or used, it takes upwards of 6 weeks to get the title.
