    hello,

i have come across a nice deal. $30 for a rear shock of a 2006 cbr1000. my question is will this shock fit into my 1998 vfr. i recently purchased the bike but this deal seems cheap and easy fix for the vfr. any help would be appreciated.

I dont know about the CBR1kRR shock, but i do know you can fit a 929 or 954 shock in there with some minor modification and those can be found at about this price too.

Nope, the CBR1000RR shock will not fit. The reservoir has interference that cannot be overcome. Also the lower mount is not even close.

The 929 shock is the best choice. With modifcation (see my site) it can be made to be a drop-in replacement for you bike.
