Did I read correctly that the Bazzazz self adjusts? Is tuning a breeze with it?

Well, that's a different product than the $65 Z-Bomb shown here.

We do have a fuel injection tuner as well as a self-mapping module (collects data while riding for custom fuel maps). We also offer Quick Shift and Traction Control.

Just curious Bazzaz, how reliable is your Z-Bomb timing retard eliminator?

I ask because I installed a Nikko G-Pack timing retard eliminator on my '04 RC51 last summer and it worked for all of two weeks before my speedo display would read out only 0.

Removing the G-Pack made the speedo display work properly again (I installed a brand new OEM speed sensor first to be certain that wasn't the cause of the problem) and I found out later that my Speedo Healer also got wiped out in the process as well.

I've become a bit leary of timing retard eliminators, that's why I ask my question.

We're not perfect, but we usually don't have issues with the Z-Bomb especially. It is an electrical component though, so we have a one-year replacement warranty. Even afterwards, we test anything for free and always offer free tech support.

This unit will make your dash gear readings in 1st and 2nd read '3' however. That's, in short, how it works.

    Bazzaz, Welcome to the World!

Question, do you plan on making Z-Bomb or other "tuning" units for the VFR800's? I notice that the only VFR you currently have products for are the VFR1200.

No I don't think it does because you can't run the bike in third gear it directly tells the bike to shift to third I think. But you should ask Bazzaz.

I had emailed the sales dept that very question last week. Reply was simply, "no" with no mention of future plans. Do I still need to PM info or will I already be on a mailing list after contacting last week?

We're checking on the DCT and should know by Wednesday. Doesn't look promising, though.

For the VFR1200 this thing is totally worth it. It now rips through 1&2 and feels like a big displacement bike. The way Honda had it from factory really restricted the canyon ability's in the second gear.. haven't gotten through the local canyons yet but there is no longer stumbling in the lower rpm band that would force me into first. This does not work with the dct as found out from another rider on the other forum.

Correct, all. Verified yesterday that it will not work with the DCT. Sorry.

Do the 800s have stock restrictions like the 1200s?

no, but basically they are tuned to run on 87 octane. so i am sure that there is a lot of power to be made by advancing the ignition timing and tuning for 93 octane, or 100 octane on track days.
