I guess so Tink, but I log on and read this thread and I see the OP asks his question. Gets a response. You come on and offer a OEM seat cowl for the same price as the cheap HK one and he wants to haggle over a few f-ing dollars with a forum member?

I have to ask why the OP owns a motorcycle in the first place if 10 bucks extra is too much!? Shit, I’ll give the OP the extra 10 dollars.

I can tell he is the type of rider who goes to a ‘real’ engine tuning shop wanting more power, gets a price quote, gets pissed at the price and comes on the board and writes a nasty post about ‘this rip off shop’ then posts up he can get the same extra power with a Hindle exhaust, K&N air filter (found on ebay for a rock bottom price) and 93 octane pump fuel so why are they so much?

I was not going to chime in but, declining an OEM part over a little shipping was just beyond my ability to understand. Great deals do not often just land in my lap and when they do I am all over them like Tink on a box of OCP's.

My original post was asking about opinions on the knock offs.. I got that answer and I was happy.
My only fault in this thread was to "haggle" on price in the open.
Should have been more professional and went through PM.

p.s. I don't begrudge anyone who really is low on money. We have all been there; but I will chastise and call out stupidity masking itself as being frugal.

I don't see how I was being stupid. I know that OEM solo seats go for $100+ on ebay and such.
I opted to offer what I was comfortable with offering.
He didn't want to accept. All is well... No one got hurt.
I didn't start saying he's a this or that for not accepting.

I don't take much serious on the interweb.. so whatever ridicule I receive I take it with a grain of salt.
And I know it's fun to pick on the new guy... especially when he's an easy target (I bring it upon myself, whatever).

If you want to offer up that $10, cool.
Next week when I get the $55 in my paypal account I will totally take you up on that.
If not, you can always donate that $10 to a local animal shelter in my name.
