Welcome, and don't worry about your English. We have rednecks here in America that speak much worse than you.

'Frozen wastelands of Wisconsin' sounds funny in French. Just saying ;-)

Welcome to the OP! Super nice collection of V4s in the stable. Kudos!

LOL. Too funny IC,I was thinkin' the exact same thing when I saw the translation.

Useless trivial factoid of the day for you IC. The word "wastelands" does not actually translate into French. I had to break that word down into "waste lands" to get the Google translator to work properly.

Bellou - Its nice to see another French rider join us - welcome from the frozen wastelands of Chatel in the French Alps.

I guess down by the Med coast its still warm enough to ride your bikes most days. Sadly with almost a metre of snow here in the village - skis are the main mode of transport for the next 5 months, and my VFR will probably be staying in the garage until Spring. Only if the roads are clear on 25 March, I will get the dust sheets off early and join the annual FFMC-74 Spadino mass ride through the Mont Blanc Tunnel.

    Bienvenue.
Une belle collection de motos que tu as. J'ai hate de les voir toutes alignées. J'ai seulement deux motos et il y a toujours quelque chose a reparer. Tes outils sont plus rapidement rentabilisés que les miens :)

Welcome to the site for sure. We have some French in our family too. Baxter is a miniature French Poodle. Ya gotta be a little thick skinned here. You must have some fine roads to ride where you are. I would love to find my way over your way sometime before I leave this Earth but there are so many places to see. Maybe some year I can get over there to see the likes of you and Carmine of course. But post up photos for sure. Especially riding around your area.

Your collection sounds very similar to mine. What year are they? I also agree that you've got to post some pictures for proof of ownership :)

Salut Erick. J'ai un 2000 en jaune, avec 65k mi. Le VFR et une belle et fine moto. Bienvenue.

Oui, je sais que mon francais est horrible.

This is an easy motorcycle to love. It does everything better than average and some things better than anything else. You will be very happy with it. Hopefully you can get enough information in English, because my french is not very good anymore.

    Erick

Have you started to think about rides this summer? If its of interest - up here in the Abondance Valley we have an annual motorbike and rock music festival which last year attracted hundreds of bikers and some great rock bands. If you get a chance to come, its great fun with SAMVA (the local bike club) organising rideouts, barbeques and treasure hunts each day and rock bands into the small hours, there are also VTT and trials bike displays and stalls selling biking gear and crazy challenges to test your agility. This year the event runs from Friday 20 July to Sunday 22 July and at 18 euro for a three day pass its great value too - there is even free camping right beside the concert arena and main parking area.

There is more information in English here :-
Burn Mountain Rock Festival Flyer and in French here :- French Flyer

I will be going every day, and it would be good to see a few more VFRs in the valley.

    Hi Erick,

My English is bad and I'm American. However, I have been looking into an Alps trip this summer. I was thinking of using Munich as a center point and riding the alps from there. Do you think riding the alps from France is a better deal? I would be there from late July through mid August. I would appreciate any thoughts on this.
