Ok, the new PC filter showed up this morning. I had concerns because I'd heard on many bikes, that the PC filter will need carb/Fi-remap work. And my airbox has been hacked up pretty good. I'm happy to say that the low end on the bike was not effected in any negative way. The mid/top feels more peppy. I know for a fact that the engine gets to 11k much faster then before, but it was poring rain, and I could of had some wheel slip.

The big surprise for me was the sound! If you need to know how it will sound on your bike, just remove your filter, and this will get you close/ I'm a bit of a gear head, So I LOVE IT!

I've been told by some of my old school mechanics, that the 2000/2001 has a wider range in the Fi system. This may be the case, as I've had no issues with my opened up air box and this free flowing filter. I bought it from this guy, and it was drop shipped from the only US dealer. Bought it wednesday morning and got it this morning.

    the proper usage is "you're"

am not trying to be better. If you prefer one thing or another or would like to say, "I did not notice any difference." So be it. But the truth of the matter is, you don't know anything for fact. That's fine. Just be clear. You are more than welcome to your opinion, just not passing it over as fact without some method of substantiating the claim.

So whats your point? Why be an Ahole? I'm just sharing my findings with others, and your just butting in with a negative attitude. Did I offend you at some point? Are you out to get me? if so, why?

have no issue with you what-so-ever, or your opinion. Would love to see pics of their filter for the 800. Also how it looks after a few thousand miles.

    Thanks for sharing

I've read a ton of happy folks using them. Only negative I've found was a guy that used No-Toil, and stated after sitting for a year, the filter turned to mush.

I called No-Toil and PiperCross(england), and they both said there would be no issues(damage) in the use of No-Toil on the PiperCross.

I'll be using No-Toil because the PiperCross cleaner/oil is expensive and hard to find.

My ER-6n uses a small 1/4" thick foam pad as a filter. I'll either use the K&N spray or put 30w oil in my hands and roll the filter around in it.

I would not use 30wt on it, as it will just get sucked in. All of the air filter oils are very tacky.
