Hi all, I recently purchased a 2004 VFR from the VFRW classifieds, and brought it home to Florida. (My past bikes include a Ninja 600, and a Harley Lowrider)
So far and about 450 miles later Im lovin the bike, however the stock seat is rubbing me wrong... Perhaps I just need to break myself back in to riding (its been over year since I've been in the saddle) or is this a common complaint? Already looked into a Corbin seat, but before I drop $400 I would like some more experienced opinions.
    Thanks all.

Check out auto upholstery shops in your area or maybe even a hungry furniture upholstery shop. If they need a little prodding turn them on to "Rich's Seats" near Seattle.. What you are getting with those aftermarket cookie cutter seats is just that.

Welcome. Custom seat or not. Put your arse on whatever seat you have and ride the bitch. You will get used to what you have. Then, consider an after market or custome seat. Personally I did not mind the original. I have Sargent on mine now and for a long trip, it was a bit more comfy. It doesn make it go faster though. I would do it again. Matter of fact, my fat ass is wearing on mine so I just may need a new one in a year or two.

    Welcome.

Also, you may be able to modify your stock seat with extra padding. I've seen it done before. Good luck !
