Ok, have been a VFRW member for a while, do a fair amount of lurking as I have a LOT to learn, am pretty new to sport, but I have a sad story to share... I recently dropped my '98 VFR on the way home from work; it was a route I ride frequently, it was raining (no big deal) and I came up on a series of steel plates in the road. My fault, I should have been more careful, but they were newly there and there were no construction signs at all, anyway hit the first plate and the bike slipped out to the right side, caught pavement and hit the next plate and went down pretty quickly onto the right side, with my leg and foot still underneath; I immediately flipped over the bike and rolled about 3-4 times while the bike slid on its right side behind me. The several cars around me managed to not hit me, the city bus that I had passed about a 1/4 mile earlier happily breezed by and I proceeded to stand up and figure out if all my parts still worked. A few folks stopped to help, I repeatedly insisted to them that I was fine and went to work immediately trying to pick up the bike. Took a few tries, but I got it, which reassured me that I was not hurt at all. Realized my right boot was ripped basically in half and was no longer really on my foot, had to sit and pry it off as the zipper refused to give it up. One by one everyone left and I found myself alone (!) with my busted up bike. Called insurance, tried to start it (it did!) quick check revealed right foot peg gone, brake lever all twisted up, right handle bar bent and no right turn signal. All other lights worked, clutch worked, both brakes worked so I rode home. Bike ended up totalled...
I shopped for several weeks and found a beautiful '99 VFR (red like my '98) with barely 6000 miles on it- pristine body, totally stock except for bitching- sounding Two Bros exhaust, paint in great shape, only hiccup was that it didn't have the grab bars...it even cost less than the ins. co. paid me for my '98! Couldn't believe my luck, so then...
This last Saturday I headed out to do a couple errands, it was a beautiful sunny day although in the mid 20's, stopped at a Target to grab whatever. Went in, came out and found my new VFR lying on its left side. No witnesses, no clues, don't know if someone pushed it over or if some dumb*** parking knocked it over. Was securely on sidestand and I always park on a sharp diagonal towards the outside of the parking space...anyway damage = left foot peg broken off, mirror chipped, clutch lever bent almost to 90 degrees and fairing ALL bloody scratched...if you've read this far and have a foot peg or mirror or clutch lever for sale, let me know! BTW, I wear all the gear all the time which saved my lucky butt when I fell...was bruised but could've been much, much worse as we all know...thanks for reading!

++ on the video. But if it is analogue, it is long gone by now. Some place the size of Target is likely to have digital by now but still, there is only abut a week window and they will need a time frame to look. Call the right away. Good luck.

Had that happen to me a few years ago with my ZX10. Five months after I had it fixed and painted after a crash, I was having lunch with friends on a restaurant patio while the bike was parked in back. At one point I get up to get something out of my tank bag, and when I get there the bike is laying on it's side with fuel leaking out. Some SOB had backed into it and taken off. No witnesses. Cracked fairing.
    I feel your pain sir.
