i have done all the research i can on the system itself but am interested on hearing actual rider feedback as far as performance, ride-ability, and maint. intervals before i bite the bullet and actually buy one of these things

    any imput is appreciated, please.

Another case of "my bike's not fast enough." For what, i reply ???????????????

You'll blow 'er up, kid, and put an eye out too !!!!!

Tranny, clutch, bearings, rods, crank, cooling system were not designed to handle so much additional power.

And re-setting FI maps appropriately might be a serious challenge. Anyone ever determine proper spark advance degrees for a turbo setup at various rpms and how to change it as needed.

If you feel that you really need the extra rush of 150 or + HP ( and who really does, really ?), then it makes far more sense to buy a bike designed for 150 hp rather than grafting it on as reliability will be better and expense about the same. And what about your rider ability level to keep both a bike that powerful and yourself under some control.

    "More speed means more temptation."

I do not have experience with it, but I sure wish I did! Good luck, and I hope you get it. I'd really be interested in hearing about it.

How many miles have you logged on the SC 6th gen?

The engineering development that has gone in to this is astounding.

So, if you claim that my wisecrack remarks were based upon NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE and only represented the opinion of one deluded fool at a keyboard.....i hereby withdraw and declare void my earlier unwelcome remarks.

You need to do, we've accepted the evidence; the earth does revolve around the sun. And the VFR can reliable make 150hp with a supercharger.

I am not trying to argue but,

A; I do not think it will give the engine a hernia unless hammered on relentlessly.

2; Gen 6 engines literally grow on trees, I can frolic through vast orchards of them while singing and dancing.

I always appreciated responses that involved 2 items: "A and 2".

    Sorry, back to topic.

well the folks at a&a sware to me that this thing will perform exactly like expected, and have already logged a ridiculous amount of hours on the system, the only problem is they cannot produce them fast enough so i will be waiting for mine.... i have done months of research on the kit itself and all the compents that are used bouncing the idea off of a dozen speed shops and the general consenses is tuned correctly which takes a few hours at most with someone who understands the process is relatively easy on this bike povided that you get the a&a map for the PC3 and is very very predictable givin you know what your getting yourself into, now the trick is going to be working out my cheek muscles for all the smiling i will be doing the first pass at the track, and as far as maint. goes it is going to be a pain in the ass... no way around it, i have talked to some reps from rotex via email and yea... its a pain in the ass, but if you are responsible enough to understand limitations and responsibilities there is no reason it shouldnt out live the bike itself.

    thanks for your imput guys..
but i guess i kinda answered my own questions, i hope this is informative enough for anyone thinking of using FI on a street bike and good luck

Service oil and filter every 50k miles and checking oil level every engine oil change does not sound that bad.

I just sent Dan at A&A a check for the 5th gen kit today. It's probably going to take about a month before the full kit is delivered. All I need now is a well lit warm place to install it. Old man winter arrived today and I don't work on my bike in the cold. For what it's worth, I emailed questioins to Dan at A&A for about a month before I finally decided to buy the kit. Dan always responded within a day, with a very detailed answer.

I think TireguyfromMA is from MA. I was gonna offer my garage here in Jersey. Its merely coincidence that I have 5th gen too.

"tireguy" was already taken so I had to add the "MA" at the end of it, and yes I'm a Mass-hole. More of a Mass than a hole though. Just purchased the SC kit from A&A Perf. Spoke to Dan on Friday, might take a few weeks before it can be shipped though. This will give me some time to figure out how I'm going to get the bike down the basment staircase so I can work on it over the winter. I have a stainless exhaust from Delkevic to install. Getting the old rusted exhaust nuts off will take some time. I also H.I.D kits for both headlights.

Has anyone swapped out the rubber brake lines for stainless line on the linked brakes yet?

Toe Cutter, I'm on the north shore of Boston. Nice lookin RWB VFR's you have there! How do you like the SC on the 2007 so far? Any complaints or suggestions for me? I just bought the 5th gen kit on 12/16. It will take a few weeks to get the kit though. This will give me some time to send the fuel injectors out for ultra sonic cleaning.

It is a very good kit, and as for a complaint I have none. Engine heat is a concern but it is manageable on the gen 6. It does take a bit of getting used to but after a few thousand miles you will be more comfortable with the crazy power it puts oot.
