    5th gen 5 spoke, without a tire = 12.0 lbs

just weighed it. If the whole wheel is 12.0 pounds, I'd be surprised of 3 hollow spokes added much. Bet Rolin and a dozen other guys would fall all over themselves like Da Bears in the last two minutes of a Broncos game to trade you a 5 for an 8.

I have a polished and black 5 spoke wheel that I'd trade you for an 8 spoke.

In a thread along time ago in a forum far far away, someone posted up the weight of the two and if I remember correctly the 8 spoke was just a wee bit lighter than the 5 spoke. I remember this because I was surprised it was not the other way around. I will continue to look for that posting.

The 4th gen 5 spoke is the lightest of the three, with the 8 spoke and 5th gen 5 spoke almost equal.

4th gen is the lightest 3rd being the second then 5th gen. I just like the way the 8 spoke wheels look on the new bikes I also have a BT016 used rear tire ill let go with rear wheel.

Drag race a VFR ?? You'll blow her up, kid. Not the best way to treat your girlfriend and too heavy to set a good time off the lights.

I got a freshly powder coated 8 spoke for sale in the classified section. Feel free to check it out. According to my bathroom scale, an 8 Spoke sans tire weighs 13lbs.

    KC-10 FE out...
