Now that the winter has arrived and my mind is already on the next spring, I just wanted to get the opinion from you guys.

Me and my -02 Viffer have been going out for three summers already. I got her when she had around 14000 miles on her belt. Now we have already seen a lot, driving few times around Europe, getting few bumbs and going through a snow storm. Now she has 37000 miles and I've been thinking if I should trade her to a younger specimen.

I'm more than satisfied with the bike and I would not mind having a 6th gen again but does it really make sense to trade it for a newer? Of course I would get ABS and perhaps a nicer paint scheme...

    Any suggestions?

As long as you trade up to RWB it makes perfect sense.

Don't do it. ABS on a bike is just a BAD idea. When we want to stop, we want to stop NOW!

    RWB +2

You could just paint the bike the color you want. It might be cheaper. At 37K, you're still pretty new. I don't think you'd be upgrading by going to the same bike unless you did it to get something that can't be had with the one you got (ABS).

Do it! Get the ABS/Pro-Link upgrade. Hell, I would have, were it available in Australia.

Painting (& customizing) the bike has also been in my mind. Few stratches and the mileage might force me to sell the bike cheaper but painting would take care of that and also little customization might bring a bit of enthusiasm.

Ps. Sorry to say but I'm actually not big fan of RWB

I was actually afraid of being burned as a heretic...

Must say that I would not even prefer it if it was just WB
