I know those of you that have these will hold onto them like a life raft in the ocean, but in the off chance that someone may be thinking of lightening up the rear end of their bike, anyone want to sell me their 6th gen OEM hard luggage? I will take rough-ish shape, but not broken or cracked. I can deal with rekeying, too. I just can't justify laying down $1000 on brand new ones even though I know I will probably have to at some point...

    Thanks guys

I found a set on CL somewhere a while back. Dunno if I posted 'em in 6gen, or under general discussion... Think the fella wanted $400 for the set. Look around (or search my threads) n you'll find it.

@ TOE CUTTER: what kind of price would turn the temptation into reality? I'm looking to a lot more touring and could use the preplanned space they provide over say a set of GIVI monokeys or something along those lines...

I just bought a new OEM set for $874. Is that price any more attractive or still too much?

WELL, if you are interested in selling, PM me. I would definitely put them to good use. Even though $874 is less than $1000, it's still a bit out of my "want to pay" range for right now. Eventually, if I cannot get them any other way, I will probably have to resort to paying the huge price...sad face...

No, you misunderstood me. I'm not selling, I just bought a set for myself and found them online for $874 with free shipping. I don't think you'll find them cheaper. Here's the link:

Mason CIty, Iowa, Honda. Power Equipment, ATV, Motorcycle, Scooter, Dealer, Used, Parts, Service, FInancing

Just look them up for the '07 Red and you'll be all set. It looks like that is their fixed price for all year bikes.

Sorry. Actually, I was addressing TOE CUTTER about selling saying that I was looking to spend less than the retail price. With getting them painted, i might as well pay full price for prematched ones. Did the $874 include the mounting hardware?

Yes, the $874 included everything - the cases, the mounting hardware and extra keys. Retail for the OEM bags is now $1100. I was originally looking at the GIVI bags - they are cheaper, but I don't think they look like they were meant for this bike. The OEM bags look like they WERE made for the bike and don't hang off the sides as much. For me, that price sealed the deal.

    Hi
I have a full set, sides and topcase, 03 Red, no scratches. Here is what they look like on a 07 bike.
    Just north of Atlanta.
    Interested?

    Bill,

Do you still have them and want to sell? Would you send me a note to CElias@vt.edu?

    Cheers and thanks,

    CElias
