    Hey, what's up?

My name is Jason, and I am the proud owner of a 1998 VFR800FI. I purchased it in October 2006, and before that I was mostly a Yammie man. FZR's and such. I ride in San Diego, usually all over the county, but prefer the backroads (of course). :blah:

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'll tell ya, I just can't seem to get enough of that wonderful gear driven cam noise. Brings music to my ears. :cheer2:

If any of you are ever in the San Diego/Imperial country area, do hit me up if you want a riding partner.

    Welcome, to the site.

Funny how there is a trend of what people ride. I rode a Seca 400 then a Seca-2,then went to a YZF600 and then jumped on a ZX11 and then things got wierd for a couple years I had a V-Rod (hated it) Now I'm with the VFR.
Which is my favorite bike I've owned.

Anyways Jason welcome to the site

Thanks, and yeah, I know what you mean. The first street bike that I had any "real" ride time (grew up on 3/4 wheelers and dirtbikes) on was my brother's 1985 FJ600 (which felt fast to me at the time), and then it was my 1989 FZR600 (which made the FJ feel like a Gold Wing towing a trailer), then my 1987 FZR1000 (owned it 10 years), and that baby made everything thing else feel slow as molasses. Mostly I just loved the big-bore torque, I cannot get enough of it, however, I have loved VFR's for years...how they look, sound, comfort...and I just thought it was time. The guy I bought it from took very good care of it, and once I went and saw it, I could not turn it down. Another big reason is that everybody and their brother has R1's, GSXR's, ZX's, CBR's, and I wanted something a little more unique.

actually some of the best roads in the state are in north slo county. you can find lots of info about them on pashnit.com or plenty right here as we frequently take trips and post pics. If you look in to usa west forum you can see trip write ups that we have done in the past year...

I was just going through this section. I don't think I ever did introduce myself. Is it too late?
