I just cracked the cast aluminum air cleaner base on the 1984 VF500, attempting to reinstall the carbs.
I've found a 1985 air cleaner base on ebay, BUT, according to Bikebandit, the 1984 is a part number 589062 and the 1985 is a 589063.
Would the 589063 work on my 1984???[IMG]

You need to know the actual honda part number, beaverdam honda (now powersports or something) shows actual part numbers. See if the earlier one supercedes to the later one.
