How to make a Neat Little Seat Bump Pad for the VFR

Had some free time today and thought I'd make a bump pad for my 1998 VFR. Went to The Fabric Store with the wife and bought some 2" foam and a 1/4 yd of black vinyl. Used the 50% off coupon my wife pulled from the circular at the store and the total cost was $5.79 and I have enough to make 5 more. Anyway, I made a cut a piece of paper out for a template and laid it against the cowl back. To get the radii on the template corners the way I wanted I used the kitchen drafting engineers radii tools ( a tomato paste can- Green Giant corn can and and Quaker Oats container. Giving me 3 radii to choose from. I went with the Green Giant. Cut out the template and glued it to a scrap of 5/8 plywood I had in the garage. Cut out the plywood and glued a piece of the foam to it and used the Electric carving knife to shape the foam. I then got two 1/4-20 Allen head bolts from my junk drawer in my tool box and drilled thru the plywood and foam and installed the bolts. You can mount the bolts first or set two 1/4-20 nuts in the plywood or even use velcro, your choice. I then cut a piece of vinyl out and started stapling it to the wood covering the bump pad. Measured the Centerline of the bolt holes and drilled the cowl. Installed it and "Voila" I know have a cool little seat bump pad. Total time about 2 hours not including getting the fabric and foam. Attatching some pics so I hope they come out. The pics are not in order, haven't figured that out yet but you get the idea. Very easy project and really low, low cost.
