    Howdy, people,

Was a happy member of VFRW for a couple years until last spring when I traded my '99 on a 2006 ZX-14.

Regretting my decision somewhat because I don't need as much bike (great machine though) and would now like to find my way back onto a clean, low mile 5th gen.

To any Canadian members (hopefully located between TO and MTL) - If any of you reading this have ever thought you might like to own a big, black gorilla of a bike then PM me and we can talk turk.

Apologies if I should have posted this somewhere else but thanks for reading!

    Joe in Ottawa
    2006 ZX-14 (but a true VFR lover)

What is low mile to you and are you opposed to a 6th Gen?

Well, you never know. Revguy...I spoze the proof is in the ride.

Last fall I had a fellow VFR forum member PM me out of the blue...wanted to go for a quick jaunt on our bikes out of the city. Initially, he thought I was still on my VFR while he still had his 6th gen.

I showed up on the 14 and we went for a blast. About 1/2 way into our travels, we stopped for a break and I suggested we trade bikes for the final leg, which we did. With factory exhaust, I enjoyed the 6th gen, never having ridden one before and the VTec was interesting too...almost felt like I had dropped about 1/2 a gear every time it kicked in. Man was it quiet though!

Well, it seems that Dan found the power of the 14 to his liking and the next week traded his VFR on a beautiful CBR1000.

I guess, I'm kinda working in reverse. My 5th gen had just enough power for me - I rung it out continually whereas now, I almost find the ZX-14 too powerful at times.

Was it a mid-life crisis that made me think I needed more power? Maybe, but I'm over it now and I want to get back to the old girl.

    How many kilometers on yours?

    Joe

Thanks man...don't want to sound like a fuss-budget but at 37K & change, I'd be looking for something with a lower odo reading.
Solution is simple - Don't let her go!

With a horseshoe up my behind, I stumbled across this - a beautiful, low mile, meticulously maintained US bike

He was selling it because he had no use for two bikes and had just completed a most incredible resto-mod of an 1100 F - Here it is...(of course, I asked him if he'd be willing to sell it too...a very unique and stunning piece in person but h'ed only just finished it and had poured about $ 6,000 into parts, not including sweat equity)

Glad you found a new ride. For the record, 37,000km is nothing on a 5th gen.

Yeah, that may be the case but I'm a bit fussy...

Which is why I was glad I stumbled across this:
