The search function yielded nothing so I ask those who are in the know!
What shocks will interchange/fit my 1997 VFR 750 without any major modifications?
I found a ready to use/used Ohlins for about 600.00 but I don't have the funds for that kind of expenditure even though I know it would greatly improve my VFR's handling.
Is 600 a reasonable price for a plug & play Ohlins with proper spring installed b.t.w.
Whats an inexpensive (a relative term, I know) answer to the stock 97 VFR's aging shock?
    Many thanx in advance!

If I could physically look at the shock, and make absolutely sure it came off my generation bike, I would buy it. It would be nice to get it for $550.00 or maybe $500.00...My Fox Shock cost me $600.00 15 years ago me thinks. A new shock will transform your bike provided it is set up for your weight and riding style. My bike is on its second re-build on my Fox, so that would mean it had three shocks so far during its life

It's on his bike now so I know it fits and is set up for my weight as it is his weight as well.

God has a VFR? If you know his shirt size let me know, I would like to send him a Tshirt from Works Performance.

I purchased an Ohlins shock for my old 2nd gen and it wasn't till I had it installed did I realize it was worn and tired and everything the seller said about it was BS.
So be careful what you buy.

In reality, banking on a freshening up (seals/fluid/recharge) is probably not a bad idea no matter what the presumed condition is.
