Ill never understand the need to make something out of the VFR that its not.....I understand that the front forks are weak and need better springs. And the brakes are plenty if you have S/S lines installed .... But changing forks, calipers and tripple trees, bearings, spacers, lines ... just seems way over board. Why not just get the RC51 / 929 and put some bar risers on it? .... But then again I like to see others people money spending projects so keep us updated :)

Ah yes, can do, Was talking about the fork leg pinch bolts not the stem as far as the clip ons go, was taking 4-5mm of both side of the pinch bolt, then on the triple clamp it's self was doing a line bore of like 4mm wider than the fork clamp area then go down as far as possible hopefully theres another 5mm plus It could be theres possibility I'll need to build it up on the back side as it close, it's only like 4-5 mm thick there. I'll be playing around with another triple clamp just to make sure. if for some reason this doesn't work, I'll just go make a new one from solid billet, but I the way I see this, it should work out..

I see where you are coming from. This might surprise you  , but I really like my VFR the way it is, best bike I've ever owned by far. I'm only changing things where I see that there can be an improvement. If the previous owner hadn't sprayed the forks, I might have left good enough alone. Yet, he did, and now I have the necessity to take them off to correct his mistake, and since they are off they will be getting an upgrade. As I said before I know I could just send them in to RaceTech, but for a little bit more money (maybe $0 if I sell off the OG's), I will have a fully adjustable suspension to do with as I please. Like Tiger Woods says,"Confidence on the road is a beatiful thing!" Plus, customizing is so much fun! BTW, even if you put bar-risers, leather seat, cupholder, cruise control, and highway pegs on a RC51 or 929, it would never be as comfortable as a VFR.

Yes, the Ohlins R&T forks for an RC51 will most definetly fit a VFR800, either a VTEC or Non VTEC version.

Swapping them in is no different than swapping in stock RC51 forks.

    Pictorial evidence:

You'll need a CBR929/954 upper triple, RC51 SP1 lower triple (SP2 won't work), some acceptable clipons (cycle cat or others), custom brake lines, a CBR F4i front master cylinder, and also the RC51, 929/954 or F4i calipers.

Make sure you get the Ohlins brake caliper brackets with the forks, I believe they're different than the OEM RC51 caliper brackets.
