I voted PR2 because it is the closest match to my preference: PR3. I did the PR2-3 change about 7 weeks ago. Love them!

I went from the BT-016's to the Pilot Power 2 Ct's

I'd tell you how they were if my ride were out of the shop but the 30 miles I put on em seemed pretty exciting! Seemed much more agile than my 16's.

Randy - what coulour tyre would you put on yours?

BT16's. First set I got a little over 9K and two track days. I just went through some M3's (Toe's advice). I did not get the same mileage but they were sticky enough. The 16's seem to give me a more neutral feeling in the corners. You put it at an angle and it stays there.

Fuchsia is kinda nice. I think I would like the flesh coloured ones better. I think the artificial colouring is no where near as nice as the natural skin tones don't you...........Oh! Tires?

Kinda did that on purpose... Considering the 6th Gen really is a sport touring bike. Though most of us push them more toward the sport envelope.

Just ordered brand new BT-016's for $188 shipped. Almost tried Q2's, but this deal was too good to pass up...

Check the age of the tires. Then we shall see how good the deal was.

The thread mattered plenty- it actually changed my mind grom the tires I was intending to buy. & it also opened my eyes to a few I didn't know of. My actual purchase decision was a last second discovery I found in the middle of filling out the purchase screen for a set of Q2's... As for the PR2's that are leading the pole, I stumbled across some really bad reviews and reports of tire failures that kinda scared me off...

82ndGreaseMonkey, could you show links of Road2 issues as I know of none with many people including myself wearing out multiple sets of them with high mileage without problems and was thinking go back to them after my R3s wear out ?

I read of one case of Road 3s disintegrating at 10,000miles after sustained high speed runs on very hot days but not 100% clear of the reason although freak sustained freezing at -50C temps on deck of a shipping container is one "rumor" along with Michelin since changing to airconditioned shipping.

Re Dunlop Q2s, as wet weather was one of your requirements good call not getting Q2s found them brilliant on dry warm roads but unsettling in cold wet conditions, their newer Sportmarts are supposed to be quicker to warm up and handle wet roads better.

The 4 digit date codes read as follows, the first two digits are the week and the second two are the year. So 1811 would be second week of May 2011. Ridervfr was close.
