1988 vfr750 fj fan problems

    my bike is off the road at mo due to minor bump .
    i cant get the fan to work,i changed the switch in the rad ,had fan tested
    is the fan suppose to earth to the fan casing or radiator ,i moved it when rebuilt it
    think thats where it was when made
    can anyone help please ,i can only get it to temp by tickover as its not roadworthy

    I'm not sure how hot your bike runs, but the wifes 3rd gen is crazy hot. I ended up running it constant, is that an option for you?

    not really fancy that idea just need to find out ewhere the earth wire goes i moved it and maybe why not working

    check fuse socket 2 to ground with a voltmeter with ignition on ,you could make a jumper to the fan motor case and on the right side front coil lower mounting hole there is a ring terminal with 2 green wires ,,thats a good ground spot,,,the ground ring terminal thats part of the fan motor harness goes too the left side fan motor mounting bolt ,,
