Chester Molester gets on my bike and does the nasty with her I don't want her back on my porch at all. Its like a two dollar whore on Christmas Sunday. Shes good for a one timer but I just don't want her after I'm done.

WOW; thanks everyone for giving a little to my sad post. I'm not sure where I'll end up with this situation but you've given me a lot of food for thought. I think I'll get the side engine cover and handles replaced and take it for a ride to see if it drives ok and take it from there. Didn't even think the frame or sterring could be jacked up. Seems like it was dropped and slid down a verted driveway or hill? The bar ends are barely stratched but how all the damage could have happened to the fairing leaves me guessing. We know it definitely wasn't driven by the miles. IDK very sad.

Just don't sign off with the friendly dude your insurer sends out. The game they play is playing dumb when what they want is to not pop for any more bucks than is possible. Broken plastics need to be replaced.. the structural integrety of the bike can be ascertained without the fairing.

    PS

Would you take 50 bucks for the 750-4 ;)

    Y2K,

Headers dont seem burnt blue, can not see the rear tyre but the front shows no signs of abuse. The brake discs have no tell tale discoloration marks. besides the damaged parts this machine still looks great. Looks like some joker that never rode a bike took it for a spin and saw his @r$e within the first mile. I recon she may have been touched inapropreatly but was returned to you with her honor still in tact. Once shes back to her old self again youll feel different about her.

    Good Luck.

She's not nearly as rough as I imagined she would be. I still understand your feelings about it, but I say put a clean sweater on that girl and take her out for a date!!

If an allegory is permitted and the chica was a 350 lb porker needing a bath and new teeth instead of one of the hotties on a popular thread here, I still wouldn't sign off with some dude from the insurance company till I rode her hot and put her away wet.

    Thanks Mike!
Looking at her from that perspective is encouraging. I don't see any abuse on the tires front or rear. I don't think it was ever started based on the miles and how badly the ignition was punch out. Good for me they weren't smart enough to spend $35.00 on eBay for a new ignition or I probably wouldn't have seen it again. I'm leaning toward fixing the bike now; however, with regards to Insurance well that's another lesson learned. If you ask for cheap insurance they cut you out of Comp/Collison and you're screwed for damages like this. So the costs to fix are on me.

I'm going to get the handles and right side engine cover fixed and ride it. I'll worry about the plastic(s) after I determine nothing is jacked frame/suspension wise.
I'll post back when I get here.
    Thanks again.

Thats the way, then you will see the lady has substance and all that make up is merely an added bonus. You wil also realise your dissapointment is to be directed at those lower forms of life that commit such mindless acts and no where else. As far as funding goes, what the heck, its only money and you are only going to spend it in any case. Good luck

I have never heard anything good about these fairings. They don't line up and the paint is poor. I ordered a ChinaBay windscreen. It didn't fit, had bubbles in the clear and was not as thick as oem.

Does anyone have access to acquire OEM parts for around cost on this site? I cannot believe how expensive these fairings are.

A few years back some dudes figured out how much some POS Chevvy was going to cost if the parts were purchased separately. About 200k if memory serves.

Cheer up, you could be a harleydood..

I have OEM fairings for your bike. Two lowers NIB. Plus the upper with an almost invisible mark, impossible to see from the riding position:smile: and the rear with a small touchup. Can't be seen if you have OEM bags. One problem - YOUR bike is the wrong color. These are Force Silver, NH411M. Of couse this is the only color in which the 6th gen should be clad. The price is guaranteed to be the lowest price possible. Let me know by PM

stolen bikes are the absolute best for learning how to wheelie, stoppie, and showing off to your tweaker buddies what a rev-limiter sounds like. Just too bad for you they dumped it on the plastics before the rod came out the front of the case. park that thing in the worst part of town and pray it gets stolen again.

or you can make it uniquely your own by rebuilding the engine when it comes apart at 20,000 miles.

Sounds more like cat crap than sheep shit.

I wonder how many of the dudes who are telling this guy his bike is fine after being nicked have any real experience or are just jerking off and hoping for the best until the real thing comes along.

Don't do it! Cheap, flimsy, bad/nonexistent/don'tevenhope paint match, drill your own holes, zero help with anything wrong. I think you get the picture.

Sorry to hear it was stolen.

Never had a bike stolen so can't say from experience how I'd react but as long as it was insured I'd be able to cope (I think).

If it brings bad memories that would suck bigtime..

But...... maybe the repaired bike can bring you many more smiles in the future.
