Just got back from my first shakedown run after rebuilding . The bike had been the victim of a garage fire when a charger was left on a v max too long. This was in The best shape of the four bikes ,and it had no bodywork or wiring.
I am trying to decide whether to decal it ,or not, If so what color,
    Just like some opinions .

    Nice looking bike, man!

What kind is it?...I kid because I love.

What about a huge 1/2 wrap using the Honda wing/logo? On a slight angle, starting at the lower front fairing and extending up to and across the tank. It's amusing what can be done by these new vinyl-print companies.

What? It's food for thought for the creative minded.

I'm thinkin' a gold Honda Wing on the tank and gold VFR on the fairing sides.

    That's what I would do...

Nice rebuild job.. What kind of fairing is that?

Cookie cutter graphics suck! Stockers suck!

Food for thought? Fish and maybe tofu.

Kinda reminiscent of the John Player livery from the 60's and 70's.

Well, there those Limeys go again, stealing a perfectly good Japanese color graphic design when we all know that Red, White and Blue was invented by Evel Kneble.

My thoughts exactly when I saw the black. Nice bike by the way! I started a topic on the 83 24hr Nelson race. I noticed in the video at 24:24 there's a black Interceptor with gold accent. Looks great IMO.

Always did like the look of the John Player Special formula cars.

very good looking bike! Personally, after adding some to my old bike myself and getting sick of them, I would challenge you to show restraint and enjoy the bike as it is. Then you can tell everybody what kind of bike it is when they ask! just my thoughts...

    really looks great

Well, not only the John Player Special Lotus cars, there were also John Player Nortons, and unless my memory is AFU (entirely possible, BTW) Joey Dunlop even sported a JPS livery on one of his TT bikes.

Your memory??? I forgot about the Nortons! A friend of mine still has his 850 Roadster from 1974. Black with gold accent.

rcfoggy just gold accents nothing big and bold.

That would be cool. That is why I am a mechanic and not an artist.......I suck at stuff like this and the application of said logo would be the death of me......I would stroke oot trying to put it on and would need a dozen or more as I can fuck up a decal of that size like no other. Hmmmmmm.......think there is a market for the destruction of perfectly good decals? I could get rich possibly.

Hell yeah...we'll brand it and franchise it: "Decal-Wreck" (buy a dozen, get one installed as quoted)

The Limeys call em "De-Kals" kinda sounds like a sardine that you eat during the winter or something.

The latest thing is painting tanks a single color like white and painting the fairing with that magnetic paint. Instead of decals and wrap, use refrigerator magnets. Espicially cool are those words on little magnets that you can write pithy shit with. I mean why limit all the cool tags on a website to some silly screen when you could have it on your bike?
