Thanks Stuart. Actually not too bad to return to stock. I'd have to weld on the right side swingarm support cage and the left side inner spacer to the frame. Need to cut off the support for the tail section. Front end is easy. Rear end is easy. Stock tank is on the shelf as is a spare set of panels. The reason this project was so difficult was trying to fab stuff and making it so I could return to stock. I have a dual head light but would use the single one. Some paint and decals and a few misc items from ebay and I'm in business.

I have had a fair share of people ask if they can take a picture and since it looks like something Honda actually built, there's more than a few who claim they "remember these bikes back in the day" and always wanted one.

Hopit, please please please do not return your bike to stock. I agree with stewart, this is a custom bike that is a keeper.

Often custom projects, even with the best intentions, are not taken to this level. You have put so much thought into this that anyone who dabbles in the black arts of custom bike building would be tempted to put a 'cross thread bolt hex' on you, should you start to return to stock.

Yes, completely agree!!! It's perfect as is!!

To the OP, I always imagined some RC51 upswept exhaust canisters would fit the bike perfectly and sound good. Maybe the Erion exhaust for the RC. Check Youtube, there's some original aftermarket exhaust examples there, although you'll have to hunt to find them.
