Bikes just had its 1000 kay service (600 ml). So today took it for a ride, 200 klm (124 ml) round trip. Filled her up with premium (choice of that or 10% ethanol).
Ride was a mix of freeway, canyon & back roads, didn't over do it, but just the same, gave her the berries a few times (for overtaking purposes). Anyway on the trip home, coming down to a roundabout, going down through the gears & just coming to a stop (clutch in) & the bugger cuts out on me. So kept rolling over to the kerb, checked to see that I hadn't inadvertently hit the kill switch, normal warning lights, turn off the ignition, back on, all ok, flick it in to neutral & jab the button, she starts up no worries & ran like a champ.
Temp was about 83C (181F), 3 bars showing for fuel, but WTF happened?
Filled up again with petrol, no audible hiss or anything when I undo the cap, however (& this could be me just being paranoid) when I turn on the ignition, the fuel pump seems louder than usual (bit more of a gurgling sound). Any clues?

What is your idle set at? This happened to me a few times. I just bumped the idle up to 1300 rpm's and problem solved.

My bike used to do that when it was new as well, bumped the idle a bit.

I've had my DCT for 3000+ miles and its never happened once. Of course the idle is prolly 12-1300rpm.

its funny i had this happen to me as well... a few days after the pair valve mod. my idle was still low from the mod (800-900 rpm) i bumped it up and havent had any trouble since. i had just written it off as my own stupidity and went on not thinking of it until i read this

Thanks for the replies. Yeah my mechanic dropped the idle back to gnats hair above 1000 RPM. Idled at 1300 RPM prior & never had any probs (manual has it at 1200 + or - 100), so I'll head back there.
Just being a bit paranoid & the thought of my wife going "Nah Na Nah, told you to keep the old bike" :( .
