Hey guys I have a problem with my bike. I fired it up yesterday and it ran but it would not stay running without my choke being at least half way on. I have not synced the carbs yet. Any help would be great thanks.

Hey guys I want your opinion on something. I found a guy on craigslist and he has a 93 Cbr 600 for sale but it just has no motor or brakes bit it has everything else ( wheels, tires, fairings, forks, swingarm, rearsets, frame, ect) and he wants $200.00. Do you think I should get it.

Man, yer a friggin' artist! I really love all that you've done with yer 500, except maybe the length of the swingarm.

Here is an idea that would be right up yer alley. Check out a CBR1000RR swingarm. Really beautiful aluminum piece, can hold a 6" rim in either CBR, RC51 6 or 5 spoke (SP1 or SP2), caliper on top, and you only have to locate the bottom link of the shock, the top mounts to the swingarm, "Unit ProLink". eBay usually has a plethora of nice used units at very attractive prices. Try to get a complete one with shock and pivot shaft with all the misc. pieces. Then get to fabbin', and hurry up, we all live precariously thru you.

Hey interfester thanks for the comment. Have you actually fit that swingarm in a 500 and if so how hard was it to do.

I have not. The rear of the VF500F frame looks to be wide enough for it to fit between. It uses a few different couplings and spacers so as to keep it tight against one side. I actually have a complete swingarm I'm gonna use on a custom something soon.

Pretty good pics. You can get a complete one for ~$100 sometimes.

I have modified a CBR954 swingarm to fit on my 1997 TL1000S. That was alot more work and it isn't finished quite yet. Looks super baller, is real rigid and facilitates an undertail exhaust system.
