Good afternoon all so i did some night riding last night and found over half my dash lights were out (i have had this vfr under 4 weeks now) so after taking it all down to replace them today i found my left side lower bodywork is fiberglass ?? i thought they were all plastic the right lower is and lol the uper housing is fiber so the hundred dollar question is can i find the right side in fiber . Glass is sooooo much easer to fix and paint

to the fun part of the story headlight bolts missing nuts (was replaceing it to what the hell i had it all down) held on with fence wire LOL and other odds and ends out of place well what the hell all fixed now

O btw replaced all dash lights with the new sylvania xenons by god i think the space station can read my gauges now same with headlight that new headlamp that they have out is WOW to put it mildly

Something I wish we could do one the six gen without having to take the 1000 piece dash apart. I wanted to go with a blue light behind the guages but I guess no luck for me.

On the other hand, who doesn't need some fence wire from time to time? WTF?>

It's probably a VFR Chuck Fibreglass fairing, I have one (nice work). You can replace dash light bulbs by just taking the windscreen off and using hemostats. I run the Sylvania Silverstars in all my Headlamps (cars and bikes) good vision for a plug & play lighting upgrade, I havn't done the dash lights yet, do you like the Sylvania Xenons or are they too bright?

you bet the number is 158 but their are like 2 diffrent levels of bulbs the reg and the silverstar both are numberd 158 just fyi if you want them the silverstar ultra headlamp is 9003 / hb2 / h4 and the tail lamps are standard 1157

just a warning they stick it to you a bit on the 158s their around 10 bucks for a pack of 2

O and i had just pulled the lowers after i saw the stupidity done to the headlamp i took the tank / sides / rear all down and made a verry good once over of the bike as a rule of thumb if you find one foul up you can bet their will be more

I at this point think people should be made to take a iq test before being able to buy a set of tools or by min have to show they have a tec man for what their going to be working on (just joking) kind of LOL

+1 I'll pay extra if it's never been worked on...less for me to fix. That includes some of the dealerships so called mechanics.

Squids and their hack mechanics, I had the fun of undoing all their 'fixing' on my first VFR.
Spent a lot of time scratching my head muttering 'did they really save any money doing this totally wrong?!?!?'
