Well I put a deposit on an 06 Black that I haven't seen yet .
A bud said it was too good a deal to pass on ,,,,,, so I didn't !
It should be in Wednesday morning then we'll see .

Couple of things ,,,, BAGS ! I've decided Not to go with the hard bags for the simple reason that the rail system is ,,,, mmmmm .....not easy on the eyes ?
The swingarm was meant to be seen !!
So , Thoughts on Soft Luggage ?

Not having owned a V4 before I hear that the notes coming from the back of the bike with the right pipes are , MUSIC !
Staintune are a very nice looking system . But I wondering if they are a stock replacement meaning right where they are now under the tail ?
    Again the swingarm ....

Thanks In Advance , Steven Brunelle

welcome to the group. can't answer your pipe questions as I ride a 5g. As far as soft luggage goes, I have heard good things on here about the RK luggage system, and a couple others. If you do a search you can probably find pictures and all.

They make some great soft luggage these days and I would diffently do soft luggage if I didn't do a high mount exhaust on my 5g, and I'm not sure I understand the question on the exhaust but here is a 6g VFR Staintune picture

It looks ok - I am still trying to get used to seeing exhaust systems under the seat. I still perfer the exhaust to be down low so I can use any type of bags. I also do not want the exhaust that close to me or my seat - just my preference. Looks are important but, looks are not everything - I need bang for the buck, performance, comfort and reliability before beauty. Would you rather be with an unattractive woman who really gives a damn if you are happy and healthy or the beauty queen trophy woman who wants you to kiss her butt and will intentionally cause you to lose everything (what a way to go but not for me). But then again I want both - a compromise must be made for me to be happy. BTW the Staintune exhauast does sound GREAT regardless of where it is located

Better than nothing but not as good as hard bags. They lack any semblance of security and are subject to water problems.

I have a set of almost new RKA bags for sale if you are interested.

I have a set on a 2002. They went right on in the same place as the stock pipe.
