    Hi.
I wounder if anyone knows if there is any differens betwen the 1986-87 vfr700F/750F(f2) rear swingarm and 1988-89 vfr750F swingarm. The stock on a 86-87 is quit flexy, wounder if they stranged it for the 88-89 model as they did whit the fork (37mm tube up to 41mm).
    And I`m talking euro version 88-89 vfr 750F, NOT vfr750R (rc30).

found a 88 swingarm that come cheap....

Hi, the part no. for the swing arm assembly is 52100-ML7-690 for the FH 87 model and the part no. is 52100-ML7-920 for the FJ 88 and FK 89 models. It should fit as first and second group of numbers are the same and the third group I believe it is mostly used to indicate various suppliers or improvements for the same part. So regarding whether it has been reinforced I can not say, but if it is cheap you could take a chance and buy and if you dont want it then resell it.

Thanks for the info. I think its its proberly modyfid (reforced). The stock of the -87 is flexy. Askingprice is 70 euro for swing, 30 euro for the linkage, which should rise the rear slightly when mounted on a -87 FH. The parts are from a FJ-88.

I have long looked for a better swingarm for the VFR, the Honda VTR sp1/sp2 swings look like they have a same kind of fastner also, but don´t know if its wider betwen the mountings?

Anyway I proberly go for the FJ 88 swing then.

I piced up the swing today. Didnt find any difference to the one I have now :(

And the linkage seems to be the same. The swing also have date stamp 86, same like mine, but the letters wher different. It made me think if its a 88 registred 87.... I will try to get that info.

GOT CONFIRMD TODAY ITS A 88 REG 87

Anyway I will keep the linkage, and try modyfy it to get higher ride hight.
The braker took back the swing and I got the linkage for free as he had wrong year metion.

Finaly found a -88 swingarm (for 70 € whit linkage) and the only thing that I found diffrent from my -87 is 2 holes on upper brake side, like for a diffrent brake horse mounting. The main linkage is same as my -87, as the mesurments of the swing (including thickness of material). :ballchain:
The only missing part now is the "dogbones" betwen main linkage and frame, I still dont know if they are diffrent on a 88-89 than my -87. Mayby someone that has one here can mesure the lenght of it fer me? From what it looks from a pic I found on german e-bay, it might be shorter...
Here the pic of the -88 linkage whit "dogbones", will post a simalar pic of the -87 linkage as soon I get a pic taken...

Newer RC30 ? I only know of one RC30 (1987 to 1990) and they all had SSSA, But dont know if they work on a VFR.

Editin becorse I just saw you have a VF, not a VFR, so dont know what will work on your bike...

Anyway finding a RC30 swing is hard and cost many $$$$$$$.....
