    Hi

Brought myself a 2004 VFR800 which has Staintune mufflers

What im wondering is the gap between the 2 mufflers is just too small for the number plate
What im wondering has anyone fitted a tidy tail/fender eliminator with a number plate thats just too big to fit between the mufflers what have you done ?

    Love the bike

    Any help would be great

Some of that is going to depend on the size of the license plate. As far as I know, the Staintunes actually allow more space between the cans than the stock cans and I've not heard of anyone having problems doing a fender eliminator with the Staintunes.

My bike came without the rear fender but it did have the support plate that holds the entire rear fender on. Here is what I did with my plate in the event that your plate wont fit:

I removed all of the stock plastics that held the plate and the plate lights on and left only the metal bracket hanging down. I then made a little bracket that would bolt to that factory bracket that is wide enough to bolt my plate to. I ordered a set of the lighted license plate bolts off Ebay($9 for the pair)and used them to fasten and light up the plate.

I was able to fit my plate vertical between the stock pipes.
