So, I got some free time after work today and made the trip over to NW Las Vegas to pick up my 'new' 1987 VFR700!

Brett has just turned the title over to me:

And receiving the key from the VERY thorough PO:

Congrats on the purchase. Looks like a super nice bike. The previous owner did a stand up job on the rebuild/upgrades.

    Have fun!

Don't see many of the blue one's. Very nice. I love that feeling of suiting up and taking home a "new" bike. It's hard not to ride the pants off it that first day. Big congrats.

Suh-weet. Love the blue ones. Friend had one. Witnessed him be a total jack-ass right next to me and flip a wheelie, face planted himself, somehow the bike righted itself, and the bike ghost rode into a concrete staircase... in front of a huge crowd. Not good times. God that was a pretty bike.

Well... anyway, very nice bike. Congrats.

What's a zorst system? *edit* nevermind... I'm an idiot. Zorst = exhaust.

And thanks for all the good wishes guys! I love this bike!

Very nice bike! I live in Vegas and work in Henderson... if you ever wanna ride, lemme know. I ride to work every day all year plus I often do weekend road trips. I think there are a couple people here from Vegas.... let's see if we can get a VFRWorld Vegas night. We'll have to keep it quiet though, we don't want Socky crashing the party....

Nice documentary. My wife is a big scrap booker, so I've started to think the same way. I had to take the camera recently when we picked up my son's new CRF100. That swingarm doesn't look stock - do you know if it was modified or updated? Congratulations on the bike. It looks great for the year.

No kidding? What part of Vegas? I'm at Mountains Edge, SW. I'd love to do a ride or 20 with some fellow VFR owners. A VFR night would be a lot of fun!

I love photo's. Probly take entirely too many, but it's great for documenting.

Sadly, it seems I need to do the stator and RR. Battery died on me today, and I'm not getting a charge.

Great pictures of the purchase! Also, that bike looks sharp. I still miss my 1991. Enjoy!

I love the bike! Wish I could ride it... I came home from work today fully expecting a box on the front porch with a new stator and R/R. No luck, so I guess I'm gonna be waiting until Tuesday when the mail is next delivered. Bummer.
