I have three JR two piece suits. Bought for three seasons fairly close to the same time. The mesh set is really comfy. The leather one I got a bit too big but it is OK as well. I can layer underneath it. The so called waterproof winter jacket is not. It will keep you dry on a shorter ride in light rain but when I wear it on a 1 hour freeway commute to work, I am soaked. So I have to wear a rain suit over it. But otherwise the wnter suit is nice. But I think next winter suit will be something else. I am researching many right now.

I have a 10-year old Joe Rocket textile jacket that I use if I have to go out in bad weather, and it works well for that. Don't know about crash-worthiness; but the function of all aspects and features including the zip-in liner is well worth the price, and it still looks decent after all that time and a few thousand miles out in the crap.

Having said that, I still prefer leather for its well established abrasion resistance. Even in hot weather I'll wear a vented leather jacket and enjoy the protection should I need it. With good vents you're fine as long as you're not sitting still.

I've had Joe rocket leather gloves and textile pants. Never crash tested either one, but I still wasn't impressed. The gloves started to come apart at the seams after 2 years of regular use, and the pants started coming apart at the seams after about 3 months.

I'm a walking JR advertisement. I have the no longer sold Interceptor jacket, which has the inner liner that comes out, and the sleeves and a small patch across the back zips off to become a mesh jacket. Had it for 2 1/2 years, so far, so good. Never been tested on a down. Carbon helmet, fits good, high leather gloves (fit very tight) and a lighter pair of gloves. Started with the low boots, but can't remember the model right off the top of my head. Had them since '06, and are still in good shape, show some wear and tear, but nothing terrible.

My impression of JR is more style than function, looks great until a crash, then it falls apart wnen you need them.

I have the same interceptor jacket as Keager. Zip off sleeves are great when temp hits 30 C. JR Alter Ego 10.0 pants with zip out vent covers. Haven't had to crash test them yet, and hope I never do. Price point was a major factor in buying. (pants were on sale, got the jacket for 1/2 price in a Honda dealer in Cold Lake, Alberta) I aslo have a first gen Ballistic jacket I bought about 10 years ago when I worked at a Yamaha dealership. They all fit good, and work well for me.

Just got an Aerostitch catalog in the mail, now I gotta figure out how to double my salary to buy some of their gear. Shoulda got 2 catalogs, This one will be ruined by all the drool while looking through it.
