    Hello all,
I am new to riding and have a pretty noobish question. I've been riding my buddies 93 750 for about 10 days, never once realizing that the choke on the left handle was fully open. What I want to know is how bad is that for the bike? I have been away for a week and have been reading up on the bike and realized my error, will not be doing that any more once I get home. Will I need to replace any parts due to that oversight, (sparkplugs mabye)? Can I expect any secondary issues as a result of my error? Thanks to everybody for reading and any responses given!

naw, you should be fine. riding with full choke on is just going to make you ride (and idle) at higher engine speeds than normal, and may have caused you to run a little rich. just make sure the idle adjustment on the carbs is set right (this is done with the choke off, of course) and if youre REALLY worried, just take the plugs out and inspect them for discoloration. otherwise, i dont think youll have caused any long term issues with the bike.

Nope, not on our bikes; instead, the "choke" adds additional fuel to the mix and is more properly labeled an "enrichment" device.

If carbs are clean and adjusted right, seems 2 me that use of "choke" while riding would probably foul plugs and cause engine to die........??

It was serviced and delivered with the choke open. So it sounds like it's not a huge deal, (whew) thanks for the responses.
