I wanted to share my newest upgrade on my VFR, me and my girlfriend were on a bike trip for summer vacation, and problem was that I didn't have any other place for luggage except magnet tank bag on my bike, so i decided to make my own luggage rack because everyone I founded to buy was too expencive, this home made luggage rack costed about 6 euros (9 dollars) .
Rack is well built, I put about 20kg heavy bag on it, and made trip about 1500 km and everything is fine with rack.
Its made from 15x15mm iron square tube, mounting on bike goes on bolts that already are on stock bike as you can see on pictures, so there is no cutting or welding the frame , after trip I took off the rack and everything is back as it was.
I hope this will be useful for someone

Nice work. One question though, did having extra weight hanging off the back affect the handling at all?

not more than any expensive aftermarket Top box, but bike did get little lower, because I had passenger, so U need to be a little more extra careful while riding .
And here's a picture of how it looks fully loaded :)

Nicely done. Probably lighter and stronger than an aluminum aftermarket unit.

You could also add wheels to it so it could double as a mono bars ;)
