Hey Guys! Just brought home a new 2010! So happy! Love the power, the sound, the sturdy feel on the road, and that big a** tire on the back!!
The bike looks totally fantastic! I really don't understand some of the comments people are making about style, color, or weight! My suggestion to everyone is to not read the blogs, and just demo one on a Honda demo day. The bike just seems perfect for me - super sporty, super comfortable, with sophisticated looks! No race replica cheese graphics either
For those of you that think Honda got it wrong with this bike, think again!!
And for those of you that think the Kawi Ninja 1000 is even comparable, think again!

And I just want to say thanks to Stratford Cycle Centre in Stratford. They gave me a great price, plus great service. This is the second bike I've bought at this dealer, and I have to drive past two other dealers to get there! I don't know if I should say too much, other than I really trust them and the service team (head mechanic has 37 years of experience!).

    Yes!
I've only got 100km so far, but they've been good. One thing I've noticed is that the bike handles well if you ride it aggressively - moreso than if you're riding slow. Of course, on the ride out of the dealership, I was really pussyfooting around (taking it easy), but once I decided to go a little faster, the cornering got really stable and accurate. Very nice!
Didn't really notice a problem with the gearing on first and second like some others have mentioned, other than to say second is pretty tall, so you can do quite a bit in just second gear. Not really a problem on this end, other than I don't really like to have to gear down into first to get around a right hander. A little experimenting, and I'm sure I'll have that sorted out!

Congratulations on the new bike. Honda makes a quality product. You can't go wrong with that. I'm not in the market just yet for one, but might be once I see what the fender eliminator options are. That and the exhaust are the only 2 things that need cosmetic surgery. Other than that, I like everything I've seen and read about the bike.

    fender eliminator

really easy to do a fender eliminator yourself, Just a piece of aluminum strap from Home Depot and drill a couple of holes to attach the license plate.

    Really?
You're teling me that you would remove a nice piece of Honda designed and produced OEM equipment and replace it with a piece of aluminum from Home Depot with a couple of holes in it? REALLY?
Maybe I'm just too proud of my new bike, but I just don't get why the fender and licence plate bracket need to go. I've never looked at a bike and said, "Well yeah, looks great, but why don't we get rid of that licence plate holder on the back??"
I guess I'm in love. I ride the bike and wonder how they could ever even improve on this bike. It's at the peak of perfection!

    calm down.
just a suggestion; if you like the rear fender just keep it.
The aluminum strap and 2 holes are hidden by the license plate anyway. I can put the stock back on and even the 2 small holes are hidden by the stock unit.

I got mine a couple weeks ago and couldn't be more happy. You can do anything on the bike, tour, drag a knee, whatever. I'm 46 and I feel like this bike was made for me. When I'm not riding it I'm thinking about riding it. Enjoy, I am!

Everybody sees things differently. When I got my 6th Gen, the ugly rear fender on that was the first thing to go. If you like the looks, then you're good to go. Enjoy the bike and give us your thoughts after you get some more miles on it.

The more miles you ride the bigger the grin every time you roll down the road.

Ride the Tunnel of Trees from Cross Village south to Harbor Springs. Then head down to ride around the Lelanau Peninsula west of Traverse City. All good rides.
