Want to buy a VFR 6th Gen (2006 or newer) - I 'VE GOT IT...

    Folks,

I am looking for an used VFR800 6th Gen, dated from 2006 onward.
The expected millage should be less than 15000miles.
Anyone wants to sell his bike or you may know any website (out of e-bay & cylcetrader) selling that bike, please help to inform me.

    Preferred bike location is CA.

    Thank you.

Thanks for your info. I am also looking on that bike as well, 18503miles from the foto. It looks okay huh. However the seller did not mention anything about the back handles, hard bags and racks... I will get my friend in CA to contact the seller for more details. Thank a lot...

Any reason you are not looking at the earlier 6th gens? I know there were issues with things, but I also understand they were dealt with on recalls. BTW. Mine is an 06 and it is not for sale. I am not finished with that ragged bitch yet.

The bike does not come with bags, with that price for ABS is a good deal. YOu can always bargain down and get the bags later. I am from Ca so let me know if you need help. Just curious how do you plan to get the bike to Vietnam?

    Thanks Bro,
It is not so difficult for me to get it into Vietnam.
As said, I have a friend in CA, he knows some logistics agencies who has regular shipping to Vietnam. An the bike can farm-in one of the shipment to here.
The shipping cost and tax will make the total bike price goes up.
Therefore, I cant effort to have a brand new one, as it would be very expensive when arriving here.
Today my friend will contact the seller to check its availability and does further actions.

The bike is selling by a dealer, they asked for 9.25% VAT as my friend in the same state.
    Is that correct, pls.
    Thanks.

Bases on my experience that price is good if it clean with no accident.

    VFR price in VN ?

    Hello VietHorse,
I am also Viet, living in Europe. I know that because of the taxes, in VN, motorcycles cost twice as much as in the US. So is it more "affordable" to import an used bike to VN ?
Would you mind telling me the final cost including taxes, handlind & shipping costs for your VFR ?

    Hi there.
The total cost for a big bike normally ~ 2 to 3 times of the price in US because of taxes and shipping cost.
You can see quite numbers of 2007 VFR ABS selling in US around ~$7,500. So it 's really painful for importation here...

    Thanks for your kind reply.
As this thread is asking about purchasing of a VFR, so I would put our conversation HERE for better organization.

Have not much time with my bike modification... there are some thing I have done and something still pending:

    Done:
    1. Gut the orìginal exhausts: louder sound, not so deep as expected... still looking for someone who sell his Leovince or 2Bros exhausts
    2. Replace the original break and clutch lever with adjustable CNC levers: look nice, flexible and good adjustment with various road and gloves types .
    3. Replace the original Fender eliminator with a customized one: looks more sporty and clear look from the back.

    Wanted:
    1. Install frame sliders: plan to install the frame sliders with fairing cut. However, the original coolant reservoir could be modified (thermal treament) and not need to buy the customized one.
    2. Looking for someone selling his exhaust... with reasonable price.. hic.,.. as I have to ship it to Vietnam - a very long way, and costly.
    3. Looking for someone selling his OEM saddle bags with racks... with reasonable price.... as above.
    4. Looking for suitable power outlet socket to install on tripple-tree panel. I have bought one cigarette power outlet socket but the diameter too big compares with the socket on the tripple-tree panel. Found the one from Powerlet webpage, but that damn expensive ($40-45). The normal socket normally cost less than $10.
    5. Make a tank mount kit for the GPS and the GoPro.
    6... haizz... many things more....

Anyone who knows or have something as above pending list to sell, please help...
    Thank you.
