    hey guys

some of you helped me out with my previous clutch problem, i had a bad cup seal in my slave cylinder that i needed to replace, i did the job and everything worked fine except i ruined the new cup seal. I ordered another one from honda and put the slave cylinder back together again.

well now, although the clutch seems to be bleeding properly (squeeze the lever and the piston pushes out) i cant get the clutch to disengage (the wheel keeps spinning in gear with the clutch lever in)

i took the slave cylinder off and the push rod and started the bike, some oil fell out underneath and i shut it off, is that normal? anyone know why the clutch isnt disengaging, or a bleeding method that i'm screwing up, the piston doesn't seem to move that far when i grab the squeeze the lever. I need to get the bike running soon.

    thanks in advance!

Best to bleed slave by removing it from sprocket cover and fully retracting and holding the cylinder in place using a C-clamp.

Might also help to briefly crack the banjo bolt on mc to expel air, or remove mc from handle bar and hold it up with lever at top.

When replacing slave, you need to be very careful not to over-tighten the 2 long bolts !!!!

pretty sure it's completely bled through, im not getting any air thru it. what bothers me is when i took the slave cylinder and the push rod out of the bike it STILL spun the tire in gear. it's like the clutch wont detach

If you have the bike on the centerstand, it is not uncommon for the rear wheel to continue to turn when the clutch is pulled with the bike in gear. Try pulling in the clutch lever and engage the rear brake.

Put on neutral and step on the rear brake...........
If the wheel still turning then you have to call Toe :)

What exactly is it that worked for you? Bleeding it with removed from the bike and using a C-clamp? I'm having the exact same issue.

well bleeding it the first time actually worked but the rear wheel kept spinning on the center stand so i kept doing it. i bled and bled until i read on here. when i tried hitting the rear brake i found that it stopped and didnt stall, took it for a test drive and its working just fine. didnt use the c clamp, but i did have to bleed the banjo bolt on top before the fluid finally built up inside the slave.

I went ahead and tried the C-clamp suggestion and that fixed it for me. Thanks Squirrelman!
