Me and my girl just got scalas and we throughly enjoy them and they work fantastically the only complaint I have with them is that you can only have three riders connected at one time. The fm radio even works well if you are in the city but not so great if you are in the boonies. I hope this helps someone.

I was caught between the Sena SM10 and the Cardo ScalaRider G4...I decided to go with the G4 because I was a long time user of the Q2 and it performed great. The main reason I went with the G4 is the ability of Cardo to send you upgrades to the device by way of the Internet and a USB connection to your computer. They are able to fix bugs and add features...very cool.

We can all agree that the operation of a bike takes 100% of our concentration.

In my community, as I would suspect in a lot of places, we have special phone number to the police. Ours is called the Aggressive Driver Hotline. So when I'm out having a sane, safe ride...minding my own business and some cager is not playing nice, I make a call, providing speed, location, and driving behaviour. Ya ya...no one likes a snitch but I feel that there has be more respect out there. That's one small use I had for good voice dialing.

When I go out for long rides, my wife can call anytime. She worries...I validate her concerns and being able to reach me every second puts her mind at ease and allows me to enjoy the ride and not worry about her worrying. She rarely calls...I think she just feels better knowing the "safety net" is there.

I would like to think that anyone on here looking for a Bluetooth System is going to use common sense. I know I do.

As mentioned in this thread...stereo MP3's in your bucket is nice.

The beauty of all this? You have an on and off button!!!

    Ride safe!!

I've only used Cardo ScalaRider systems.

One comment I'll make on this one is...wow those speakers don't look too shabby. One complaint that resounds with most users are the chintzy speakers that come with most headsets.

    XBi2 Bluetooth...not so good

For Christmas my buddy and I got Chatterbox XBi2 chatterboxes. They're bluetooth enabled. Install is fine. They use 2 inch speakers which fit into the ear cavities of your helmet (Scorpion and Shoei). They use a voice activated mic that sits about 1mm from your mouth in the Shoei. I had some problems with my unit, a weird pulsing sound that was always present. Chatterbox had me reset the unit...no good, so I sent it back. It took a long time, with several phone calls, before mysteriously my unit showed up again in an envelope. No note, no "sorry this unit wasn't up to our standards", just the unit in a sack. I plugged it in...no more pulsing, but it doesn't work as good as my buddies unit. Ugggh. Kinda of an expensive thing to test.
But the real problem is with the voice activated system, the Shoei rf1100 helmet, and wind noise. Buddy rides a Concours and has a full screen and Scorpion helmet. i can hear him fine...at highway speed. But my unit is screaming static at highway speeds and only works well under 50mph. This is no good, as it's nice to say, "Cow in road" at 80MPH when you're in lead.
The bluetooth works, but it drains phones and devices, the speakers are good, but they're not buds which leaves considerable road noise.
And yes, if you wanted, you could take/make a phone call in motion (me at less than 50MPH). And with a throttlemeister you can even take your hands off the bars.
I'd probably like the XBi2 better if Chatterbox had been more responsive, or if the thing worked in my helmet/bike combo. Scala will be my next choice.
