Well seeing as how you are disabled, I decided that ( in the interest of friendship and fairness to your readers of course ) I can not only ride it for you, but get some video also. At the moment I still have 2 hero cams and I'm thinking a forward and backward combined into one video would be pretty cool. Just come on down and I'll ice down some beer and ride the VFR for you while you drink. I'll even post you on some corners to shoot vid too then cut it all together with some tunes. That's just the kinda guy I am.

Wonder if dan remembers my posts saying there needed to be a screen covering that pully.....

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/general-...e-supercharger-kit-6th-generation-vfr800.html

May not have mattered if you were running with the fairing off - but can't help but feel like I had a premonition here.

Sorry friend. Coming from someone who's had the end of a finger removed by machinery and re-attached - best wishes for a speedy recovery.

    Hope you have AFLAC

Screen would not have prevented this. Simple minded complacency was what made this happen. From my point of view it is rather funny. I climb into some crazy engine compartments while running and must use the care and concern needed to survive and did not respect the little one that bit me hardest. So, my fault and dealing with it. A life lesson that I wish was not needed but .......Lol ,,,,I guess I did. Lesson learned.

Well Toe (or Finger) sorry to hear of your misfortune. I hope the Medical repair work went well. As I am a man or leisure (pronounced unemployed) if you need anybody to hand you wrenches etc ... let me know.
    Here's to a speedy recovery.

Hey if your riding all over the west, throw our place on the list and I'll buy you a cold beer to hold against that finger.

Any of the dudes who want a free ride who come equipped with any text or talk device should be given the finger. This is not a bike to be watching Oprah re-runs on either IMO.

    Component durability

    Toe,

I know you stated the clutch has been replaced; do you anticipate needing to beef up any other components or an increased frequency of wear (besides tires) of other parts of the bike? I'm not a wrench by any stretch, but my gear head buddies always talked about the cost of HiPRO gear like a never ending path in their cars/trucks- from engine to trans to clutch to rear end, etc. I'm also interested in hearing what the new range on a tank of gas will be, and what your take is on the feasibility of this still being "daily driver/commuter" capable.

Yes, much better your finger in the VFR than your mullet in a Cat fan blade.

It was only a flesh wound.....I believe it was premeditated......Work in the hell heat of summer, or wrinkle up your finger a little and take a month off paid. It isn't like his ol' lady drugged him, cut his dick off and stuck it in the garbage disposal.....I have to say it was brilliant to post the pics on the internet and let all you guys sell his story to AFLAC

Just catching up to this thread when I saw a link on facebook. I was expecting to see a video at the end of it as I read through all 10 pages. Definitely didn't expect to see Toe mess up his finger... I hope you have a quick recovery and the healing process goes as well as possible.

What an amazing read, though. The ToroCharger is pretty impressive and to see it on a 25th anniversary ride is even better.

Just wanted to chime in here and say this is the best thread I've ever read on this forum. I just went through the whole thing in one go - it's like a movie, with a twist ending and everything!

    Here's to a speedy recovery Toe/Finger - :clock::pray:

When he does post it, it'll be like those occasional teaser bits after the credits.

Call me crazy, but I'd like to see the RWBeast in a Quarter mile just for giggle factor.
