Has anyone tried the raised helibars on a gen 7? I like the grip position on short, sporty rides but the helibars would be nice on longer rides I think. I'm afraid to make the switch and then not like it.

    Hi Kklein,

I have Helibars fitted to my DCT, I fitted them ~two weeks ago, one of the best mods out there for the Gen 7. They take a little weight off your wrists and allow you to sit a little further back on the seat taking some of the pain out of a longer ride. Well worth the money indeed. I'm 6' and the bike fits like a glove now. Just the small change of 2" higher and 1" further back is enough to make a huge difference to the seating position and rider comfort.
They're a little wider than the stock bars too so turning requires even less effort. Fitting is easy, takes less than 1 hour to do with just basic tools. Supplied instructions are easy to follow and well illustrated.

    Cheers,
    Smithy.

    Ditto,

I have the DCT with Heli Bars and they work great. I'm 5' 11" and they make a big difference.

    Good luck,
