Cali vf500 remove emissions crap???

    I got an 86 honda vf500 that's a California model and has tons of emissions items. Can i remove these items? Thanks!

    why bother? It's not hurting anything.

    If I was in there for some other reason and had to remove it, I'd probably not put it back on out of pure lazyness. But to go out of your way to remove it is a waste of time. There won't be any added performance.

    i'm putting the bike back together from my build and just seems like a waste to have any of it, but i wanted to see if anyone has removed it and what all needs to happen other then putting caps on some of the lines.

    I left mine OEM with the exception of the carbon canister. Even after removing and reinstalling the engine. The carbs are a specific cali model with the extra vacuum line ports as I recall and it was just easier to leave it alone than try to figure out what should be plugged and what needed venting to atmosphere.

    What did you change with the carbon canister? Also I'm struggling to figure out what Vaccum line goes to the small inlet on the valve under the carb plate also help or a picture would be amazing help!
