I have a 2k VFR with 39363 miles on it that I am going to work on to get it cherry again. Looking for opinions : Is a Yellow 2k VFR with OEM plastics worth more than a 2k VFR with non-OEM plastics. Just curious as at first I did not like the Yellow but came to like it. The 2k Yellow is kind of special to me because it is the only year that color was offered. Am I being too sentimental?

I'd leave the yellow alone and I'd also say that OEM fairings hold value moreso than non OEM

Noticed you're from Queens, Im orig. from Astoria but now in exile.

I agree. OEM should be worth more. I've seen a lot threads here that talk about non-OEM bodywork nightmares.

I think original body work give the impression that the bikes been taken care of, and not wrecked.

As to the yellow versus non-yellow, I couldn't say. However, all other things being the same, I would say a bike with OEM fairings would indeed be worth more than one with aftermarket fairings.

Non OEM bodywork scream to me that the bike has been wrecked.

aftermarket bodywork, or fairings covered in stickers say wrecked or hidden damage. clean OEM fairings are what will get you better money for a bike. if you HAVE the OEM parts as well, that may make it more desirable too.
