Thanks for the link, but unfortunately, like most e-retailers, the prices are too good to be true. They do have the best prices, but shipping is like crashing the bike all over again. I went to order a left upper fairing stay for $25, and they wanted $23 to ship it. Keep in mind that this part is less than a pound, and will fit in a small box. Total BS.

Stosh - I got the parts today - they are almost better than what was on the bike before I crashed it!!! Thanks again!!!

Brother, I'm sooo sorry to hear about your mishap!
Glad you're OK and repair parts are being sourced successfully.

Good Luck with that top/main stay, around $450.00, UGH!
Mine has a bit of a tweak from PO, yet to get around to try straightening it.
    Keep us posted...

Not in your area, but here are some additional parts listed. The rear is pretty beat, but the left mid and lower look very usable.

    Try Crazed List

    crazedlist.org : search craigslist like a madman

There is a small browser setup tweak to make it work, but it sure speeds up looking for stuff on craigslist. You can select individual cities, entire States or the whole nation/world.

    Go for it Matt!

    Very Cool!

I really like that RC30 style paint scheme. Just a swath of White along the lower edge of the tail section and the outline for the rear number plate and you've got it aced Matt.
You just about gotta do the rims up in White though.

As far as plastic, there is no "limited availability of parts". Honda HQ here in Torrance had pallets full of 94-97 plastic last time I was in there.

I got my left upper and have it installed now. A few zip ties to hold on the left mid, and I should be able to ride it again!!!

Some pics of the progress (front fairing not yet installed):

Still looking for a left mid fairing, mine is broken or cracked in at least 12 places (despite looking "intact").

I will chase any and all leads!

Thanks for another link, Deadsmiley! E-mailed the guy, I'll cal him if he doesn't get back to me in 24h.

    So a quick update:

I had to purchase a new left upper stay/coil/radiator bracket (the one mentioned above that cost double it's list price due to shipping) from my local Honda dealer. I could not get it back to the right shape, and it was starting to get weak at the primary weld. It was $33.50 OTD. Not too bad. Once I had that I was able to piece together the entire upper cowl/headlight assembly. The gauge stay/fairing mount was bent, but no so bad that it was unusable, so it stayed.

I have installed Stosh's fender and windscreen, and the entire upper assembly now. I have removed the lower fairing brackets that would otherwise get snagged on something so that I can ride the bike again. The idle speed dial on the left and the charging wiring on the right have been tied up to the frame so that they are not dangling in the breeze.

I pulled the condoms off of the mirrors, and re-mounted them. When the bike gets painted this winter, these will be painted (probably black) as well.

I think that Saturday will be the first time back out on her and to verify that everything is functioning as expected.

Here is a mid fairing. Not sure how the price is for ya though.

    VFR bodywork

    Edit:
Crap, that's a mid right fairing. Well, maybe someone else can use it.

Nope, that's a definitely a left mid... but the price without the grille and NACA duct is a little steep... $200 plus shipping!

I'll keep it in mind - I'm going to attempt to see how much work my existing mid needs and potentially repair it. I'm most likely doing a re-spray this winter, so we can hide most of the ugly under body filler and fresh paint.

I had a garage sale yesterday and spent several hours and about 1/2 a bottle of superglue on my left mid. It is surprisingly much stronger than it was before starting with the glue. Cracked fairings are actually pretty weak (go figure). I did make the discovery that the NACA duct and the silver fins were both broken, also. They both got the "excessive superglue" treatment, too.

I've got the bodged-together fairing re-installed, and for the first time in over a month, the bike is complete and together (save for the mirror condoms). If the weather breaks later, I'll go for a shakedown run.
