if it catches your eye enough to actually consider using the scheme, id suggest looking at as many Repsol examples as you can find. Honda has made a number of production 1000RR's in the Repsol scheme that you might be able to find and take notes from. If you do end up doing that, youve GOT to post massive #s of pics up on the forum here, ive been dying to know what these 2nd gen bikes would look like in Repsol garb!

I like this one for sure. I am really hoping to paint mine this winter. Mine is getting quite tired riding it year round. Going to have someone do a custome job on it. Base colour will remain the pearl white with some form of this graphic coming from the front of the farings by the wheels:

Maybe gold wheels too. Call me patriotic!

I ain't in Kansas but Orange and Black are school colors here in Ogeron.. Pic of my O&B 91 up here in pix.

For more paintjobs, Google "motorcycle paint jobs" or some other combo that has nearly the same words.

One thing HD does well is paintwork both in design and execution. Lots of O&B there too.

O&B aint some new fangled drink, Orange juice and bourbon is it? Not a little colour biased are we? ; ) The "Bar and Sheild" company duz paint some tasty schemes fer sure but they are kinda oriented towards touring bikes but none-the-less excellently presented. Me, I delt with Color-Rite and got some factory paint to match my existing gas tank and tail section as I wanted my upper, mids and lowers to match them. Cheers

Oh my! HD in this context means "Halloween Day" ;) The stock Honda red on the 91 faded in some spots to pink. That and some crunchies to fix and it was time for all new paint. The paint is Martin-Senour from NAPA via Sherwin-Williams. A little flattner in just enough of the black on the frame for contrast.

Kind of fun. The natives think I am a Ducks fan, I tell harleydoods that I love Harleys but can't afford one and flat out lie and tell the mullets it's a KTM..

Thanks Randy, and everyone else. I'm going to do the paint job my self, now i am no pro but i paint for a living. I think painting is simple. the hard part is all the sanding, and cure times. I think I am going to go ahead and use blue and black colors, maybe some white.

The sky's the limit when you do it yourself. Full fairing bikes can be Hard to get lines rihjt at times. Some turn out better than others. I have painted several for other people and my biggest dissapointments are adding graphics they want and I just have to "MAKE WORK"

Wow looking at this thread gives me RWB overload.
I do like the little flip up shield, external fork springs and external radiators on this one. Just enough to get the job done.
