Mine is that beautiful 2007 red. I bought it brand new at the end of August 2008 with 1 mile on it. Currently I have about 31,300 miles on it. Would have more except there was about 6 months in 2010 when I didn't really ride at all because I was unemployed.

Interesting read about the courier and his mileage. I don't know where he or anyone could run a hundred for more than a bit. It becomes reckless driving and a felony.

I went out to the northwest on my 92 FZR1000 and rode with several others where the speed limit in Montana was officially "reasonable and prudent" one of our group was a practicing lawyer from Montana. He said that reasonable and prudent was about a 100. It was a week of hammering. I believe that the rules have changed out there since.

My fzr lasted until 30,000 miles when one of the center intake valves recessed so far that couldn't get a shim thin enough. I sold it rather than tearing it down for a valve job. I was pretty disappointed with Yamaha at that point. It was a bunch faster than my current 750 however.

When I got my VFR700 it had 49k on it. The engine was noisy and had low compression so I put in a fresher 750 this spring.

I am thinking by this thread that there is some perceived relationship of miles to schlong size. Anybody have the exact formula? Is is directly or indirectly proportional?

The exact formula is if you have 15,000 miles on your 2000 VFR you have the biggest schlong. Ever. Just sayin....

I think maybe if anyone is going to submit a pic on this particular subject, they should limit it to a view of thier odometer.

Smart man! He stopped the bike before taking the pic. Limited multitasking is many times, the better alternative.

That is some serious miles there. Do you know what the maintenance records is or was? What kind of major work done if any?

Yep - It's been in nobody's garage but mine.
Major work? depends on your definition. The engine has never been an issue, I've only had to adjust shims on three occasions (usually checked yearly during the winter maintenance period).
Lot's of maintenance needs over the years and miles, but nothing surprising (I don't consider the odd electrical issue surprising, the original stator gave out at the end of last year).

water pump around 80k - may need another replacement this year, the seal leaks a bit in cooler temps.
clutch at 100k (should've just replaced the springs)
front wheel and steering head bearings roughly every 50k
suspension work/swaps as needed (it needs a new/rebuilt shock now)
Good chain and sprocket sets roughly every 40 to 50k
    lots of tires

It was serendipitous. I wasn't planning on noting the occasion, but I happened to glance down and it was showing all those 0's, so I hauled it to a stop as quick as I could (didn't know when it was going to click over) and dug out the camera. I've never attempted photos on the move.
