i am in the process of doing f2 front end swap and i grabbed some 91 f2 forks, triples etc. After a little consideration i am thinking with racetech emulators, i could just get a pair of 94 forks and call it done, outside of new springs of course. considering the emulators emulate the cartridge style forks, and 94 was the first year the f2 came with them...another concern is this, thanks to jaime d, my vfr steering stem is in the 91 triples, can i just get the 94 forks and slide them right into the 91 triples??

So, what is your solution??? I am considering an '02 with a whacked up front end, but am trying to find out what I am up against to get this thing on the road again. I can get the bike for about $1500, and it is all in tact and in decent shape except for the front end and upper fairing / headlight.

Not to hijack the thread, but I've been thinking about something like this for a while too, has anyone done this with an 86 vfr? How hard is it to change to a more modern front end?

I used the 91 forks. just added gold vavle emulators from racetech. was a pretty straight forward install (if u have the tools (drill pres) available). or u can find someone to rebuild the f2 forks for u.
