Where and when? Need a shakeout ride on a new bike and may be up for it

 

Some of my friends and I are doing a group ride on Saturday morning. I'd like to try to get out for a VFRW meet up though.

 

Oh, and here's some new shots of the bike now that my Solo Cowl is on.

 

its either out west to the mountains, or a shorter ride on the country roads between richmond and fredericksburg. depends on how early i wanna wake up lol. i know your kinds far up north though so idk if you wanna come down for that

that would have been cool...its only like 30 minutes from my house....i'm thinking about riding this saturday if anybody wants to go.

 

So I was actually shopping for a new toy hauler, in preparation of making the AMA/DMG race at VIR this year... I'm glad I was slow rolling this purchase, which I was originally planning for next year.

DMG never ceases to amaze me, what a bunch of bunglers, the AMA needs to break their contract (loosing a major race has gotta be a chance to break it alone) and get the guys who do Supercross (was Clear Channel, now Feld Motorsports) to do the promotion, instead of the DMG/NASCAR idiots...

oops...i just read that. freaking canceled??? thats sad...it was the only event i had a chance to see some of it live this year.

actually it seems this time dmg had nothing to do with it, it was all on vir.

 

does anyone wanna ride with me saturday? i'm gonna make a local trip. it should be only a 3 hour ride.

Huh? DMG got the contract from VIR back in December, they didn't return it until June, with edits yet... I can tell you as someone who deals with contracts and lawyers, that ain't gonna work; lawyers take FOREVER and wanna fret over every word; I think they get paid by the edit.

Then VIR makes a counter offer, as a stand alone deal for this year, and DMG refuses it? They could have had the race, then continued with the contract negotiations for later years...

Dude, DMG screwed the pooch on this one.
