Hi everyone,

After a little digging around I see that the popping sound I'm about to describe/show is not uncommon.

This is my first brand new bike. And since I'm not a very mechanical guy at the moment, the following sound put my mind to worry.

As the bike warms up whenever I engage the throttle the bike makes a popping sound. It only happens when the bike is warmed up, and likes to not show itself when anyone is around.

I have managed to capture the sound and it can be heard here:

It's the same bike as in the pic on the video. A 2009 black and white VFR with about 1800kms on it.

What do I do? Leave it? Get used to it?

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Thats the PAIR solenoid operating, its normal, or you can remove the PAIR system and you will never hear it again.

LOL, I was just riding home tonight when I heard this strange sound when I cracked the throttle at a red light. I used my I-touch and caught the sound as well but it is exactly the same thing you recorded. Good to know that it is normal. Thanks!
