NEED HELP!!!! stopped running, left me stranded!!

I have always seen them called vr/rectifier so I assumed they where the same thing.

 

Our ole Don has his peculiarities, don't he ??

Of course the dang thing both regulates as well as rectifies the voltage; otherwise the output voltage would vary alot with engine rpm.

 

Just call it a Rectum-fy-er...Had a clogged tank vent on a bike that got the cust-tamer stuck twice! Had to ride the bike for an hour before it conked out. In theory, if the tank is not getting properly vented when you open the gas cap you should here like a (whooosh) sound may vary:smile: Whoosh is the the pressure being released. This particular bike had a blob of solder stuck in the vent tube in the gas tank. Tried passing a wire thru it and no go. Got a new tank and problem solved, no more stuck cust-tamer.

So I was thinking. When I fix the bike, if I get the vfrness what exactly does it do? Just thicker gauge wire for the charging system or something? Is it plug n play?

 

Finally got it running after not having it for a month!!! Runs even better now!!! I found a new level of love for riding the vfr. After cleaning the carbs and checking all electrical it turns out that it was a bad fuel pump, I hit it a couple times out of frustration :chaingun: while checking it a second time and it started gushing out fuel. While I was in the carbs I found out it does have a jet kit but it only has 124 mains? I thought stock was 130? I know she is a neutered cali model so would that be the jet kit for my bike? Either was Im glad to have her on the road again!!!
